  • The Road To RNG: Site Tour

    Join Western Washington Clean Cities and the King County Wastewater Division for a tour of the South Treatment Plant. We'll see how King County turns biogas from its wastewater operations into pipeline-quality renewable natural gas (RNG). We'll also learn how a regional Clean Fuel Standard -- currently being considered by the Puget Sound Clean Air Agency -- could impact RNG production in Washington.   • Earth Day Celebration 2019

    Join us in Snohomish County for their Earth Day celebration! The event will feature a variety of fun interactive booths, food trucks, and drawings for eco-friendly prizes. We'll be helping to host an electric vehicle ride and drive opportunity for anyone who would like to take an EV for a spin. Attendees will even have a chance to take a closer look at one of Everett Transit's all-electric buses.   • Webinar: Community Electric Car-Sharing

    How can we increase access to clean transportation options for low-income communities? The Puget Sound Clean Air Agency recently conducted a study that evaluated barriers and opportunities to increase access to electric vehicles in low-income communities. Join us as we review existing programs around the nation and take a closer look at several models for electric car-share pilot projects in the Puget Sound region. We'll also discuss the findings and results of the study's research, interviews, and community outreach and chart a path forward for communities to adopt their own electric car-sharing program.

    The Pacific Northwest region is moving toward a zero-emission transportation future. How will all of our cars and trucks charge up on electricity? Join King County and Western Washington Clean Cities for an in-depth look at today's available electric vehicle charging equipment. A variety of equipment providers will be participating, allowing attendees to learn more about how charging infrastructure works, the siting conditions required to construct a vehicle charging station, and what makes each set-up unique.

  • Sustainable Fleet Management Training & Showcase

    Join the Puget Sound chapter of the National Association of Fleet Administrators (NAFA) and Western Washington Clean Cities for a chance to learn about the latest in green fleet technologies. Day 1 of this two-day event will offer an opportunity to participate and become certified in NAFA's Sustainable Fleet Management course, taught by Gary Lentsch, Fleets Supervisor for the Eugene Water & Electric Board. The course will cover a variety of sustainable fleet topics, including: 1. Building a Sustainable Fleet Program 2. Sustainable Driver Training 3. Sustainable Fleet Metrics 4. Sustainable Leadership & Change Management 5. Using & Tracking Fuel to Support Sustainability 6. Acquiring a Sustainable Fleet: Strategic Mobility Concepts Day 2 will feature a technology showcase and ride and drive opportunity at LeMay Car Museum for fleets to test out a variety of alternative fuel vehicles across the heavy, medium, and light-duty cycles.
