Tacoma Public Utilities will be showcasing one of the first electric dump trucks deployed in Washington state at GTSE 2025. This vehicle is a Class 6/7 all-electric model designed for utility and municipal applications, and it's an early example of how heavy-duty electrification is progressing beyond pickups and light-duty units. It’s a significant step for decarbonizing fleets with high-load, high-idle duty cycles - especially in public works and construction environments.
The truck will be available to view in the GTSE Expo Hall, providing a chance to see the chassis, battery configuration, and upfit details firsthand. For fleet managers and sustainability teams evaluating medium- and heavy-duty electrification options, this is a valuable opportunity to understand real-world integration, charging strategy, and operational impacts from an early adopter.
