WAEVCP: Funding Opportunity for EV Charging Station Projects

The Washington State Electric Vehicle Charging Program (WAEVCP) is now open for applications.
The WAEVCP will award approximately $19.4 million total for the installation of EV charging stations funded by Washington’s Climate Commitment Act. Applicants for this competitive grant include public agencies, electric utilities, non-profit and private organizations. Applicants are qualified for the following funding categories:
Multifamily residential
Public charging
Fleet/workplace (For tribal and rural public agencies only)
Innovation projects
Site design projects
Funding amounts vary for each project type, but candidates are eligible for up to $5,000 per Low-Power L2 charging port, $12,500 per standard L2 charging port and $150,000 per L3 charging port.
Innovation projects vary, but a maximum of $1.5 million per project can be granted. Each applicant who applies for a site design project can receive up to $25,000.
Applications began on October 6, 2025, and will close on December 18, 2025 at 4:00 pm PT.
